37wks

I am now 37wks. I went to the Dr. on Christmas Eve day and the baby is still breech. Dr. Harrington wants to give it a couple of weeks to see if it turns. So I go back next week and then the week after that probably the 6th or 7th of Jan I go back again and if the baby is still in breech position they will schedule a c-section for that Fri or Sat I think he said. Since the baby isn't moving much at this point, I don't know if it will turn or not, but we'll see.
Hope everyone had a great X-mas. I know we did. Alexa got lots of goodies and seemed happy with everything she got, so as long as she had a good x-mas that makes our x-mas good.
Shane has started tearing up the old part of the house, I now have no kitchen. I am sure he will get it put back together quickly. Until then we are eating microwave dinners.
Ok, well I will keep you all updated on the status of the baby.

Almost 36wks

Ok, so once again I have been slacking on the posts. Went to the Dr. on the 9th of Dec and the baby is still in breech position. They said they weren't too concerned, but you could tell they were a little bit. Now I have to have another sonogram next week to see if the baby has decided to turn yet. I will be almost 37wks at that point and if it hasn't turned by then they will schedule a C-Section. I really hope that doesn't happen, but if so I know it will be best for myself and the baby so I am ok with it.
I was feeling really good until these past couple of days and now I have horrible heartburn, my feet look like Fred Flinstones and they hurt on top of it all. I have had a little bit of swelling here and there so far, but it usually goes down overnight. Last night that didn't happen, my feet were still swollen when I woke up this morning and they hurt all day at work. If they are still swollen tomorrow I am going to call the Dr. just to make sure I shouldn't worry about it. Better safe than sorry.
I still have some last minute shopping to do so I plan to get that all done tomorrow as well as getting my bag packed for the hospital. I can't believe it's getting so close that I need to be worried about my bag being packed. After X-mas I am sure it will go very fast and before we know it we will have our little baby home with us.
Ok, well I will keep you all updated next week on if the baby decides it wants to turn the right direction or not.

33-34wks

Ok, so I have been slacking on posting. I am now almost 34wks I think. We have about 6wks left, that is if the baby decides to show up on or near it's due date. I realize that it could be 4wks from now or could be 8wks from now, depending on when the baby decides it's ready. I have one last sonogram next week so that they can see if the baby is in the correct position, then I have weekly appts from then on. I really can't believe it's so close. Luckily Shane just got the house done and we are actually going to set the crib and stuff up tonight. He has worked so hard on everything and I know he is just as excited as me that it's done and he can relax for a little while before he starts remodeling the rest of the house.
We have our Childbirth Prep class this weekend. We get to take a tour of the hospital, well at least the Maternity area and Nursery. I have never been in the hospital in my life so hopefully this will give me a little bit of an idea of what to expect. They obviously also will discuss all of the options you have for labor and deliver and teach us relaxation excercises and all of that good stuff. I am very excited to go.
Well that's all I have to update you on for right now. I will keep the posts coming as the time gets closer.

31 Wks-It's getting so close

Yesterday was officially 31wks and also exactly 2months until my due date. I can't believe it. Since my last post I have gone to the Dr. again. Everything is looking great. I am measuring right where I should be and gaining weight just like I should. The baby's heartbeat sounds great and he/she is moving alot more now. I am starting to be able to feel little body parts sticking out and poking me. I am going to miss the movement once the baby is born.

I have had both of my showers now. My family shower was on Nov 7th. It was so nice to see everyone and I got lots of great stuff. My work shower was just this past Friday on the 13th. I can't wait to put everything I got at both showers to use. I also can't wait until the baby's room is done(which should be soon) so that I can put everything away and get organized.

Also here are some belly pics that I just took today.

30wks

I am now almost 30wks pregnant. I am amazed at how fast this is going. I had a sonogram today and the baby looks good. Everything is where is it suppose to be and working like it should. The sono tech said he/she is about 2lbs 15oz now. We got some great pictures which I will add to the post as well. She just gave us pictures of the babies profile because apparently he/she is very proud and had his/her legs spread so she didn't show us or print any other pictures that might have shown us wheter its a boy or a girl. Right now the baby's head is under my right ribs and it's curled up and around with it's feet under my left ribs and up by it's head. I am still feeling good except for some pretty severe heartburn every once in a while.

Ok, well I have another appt next week to check on me and how I am doing so I will continue to keep you all updated.

29 Wks

Well I am now 29 weeks pregnant. Still feeling good, except for the occasional heartburn. I had my gestational diabetes test this past week and the results were normal, so I can continue to eat all of my sweet snacks that I like.
I start my appts at the Dr. every 2 weeks at this point. I actually have an appt this week for a sonogram and then next week just for a normal appt to chk bp,weight and all of that stuff. Not sure why they aren't doing it all at once except for the fact that my sono appt is with the actual sono tech and my other appt is with Dr. Harrington. I can't believe we only have a little more than 10wks until my due date. So if this baby decides to come early we have even less time than that. I can't believe how fast this is going.
Next weekend is my baby shower and I am so excited to see everyone.
Ok, well I will keep you updated with all of my appts and stuff. If my computer would cooperate I will get some more pics downloaded as well.

27-28wks

I am almost 28wks pregnant now. I can't believe we have less than 3 months until we meet our sweet little bundle of joy. 12wks to be exact, it sounds so close when you say it in weeks.

I am still feeling great. I am having some trouble sleeping because I have to change positions so often because my hips get numb and my legs cramp up. I do take plenty of naps though to catch up on my sleep, I don't know what I would do without naps.

I have my 28wk appt on Tuesday the 27th of October. At this appt they will do my glucose test, which tests for gestational diabetes. They have you dring a really sugary drink and then wait for an hour and take blood to make sure both myself and the baby are processing sugar normally. I will keep you all updated after that appt. Until then I have nothing else exciting going on in the world of my pregnancy.

26 Weeks

Ok, I am now 26 weeks pregnant. I finally feel like I am starting to get a little bigger. I think you can actually tell I am pregnant now and not just a little pudgy. Of course I have thought I looked pregnant for a long time now, but obviously I have seen all the little changes as I go that not everyone else notices. I will definitely try to get some more pictures posted soon. I haven't had anyone around to take pics since Shane is busy with the house and I am usually in bed when he gets done working.
I picked a pediatrician yesterday. I went and talked to with two different pediatricians. Dr. Lapke and Dr. Pedrosa. Dr. Pedrosa is the winner. There wasn't much difference between the two dr's themselves just got a better vibe from Dr. Pedrosa. Also her office was alot bigger and nicer and had a well waiting area and a sick waiting area that were completely seperated. I wasn't really that thrilled with the area that Dr. Lapke's office was located either and the parking was horrible. The most important thing though was Dr. Lapke did not have Fri afternoon office hours and Dr. Pedrosa did. When I go back to work that will be very important as I will have no time left to take off for Dr's appts. So anyway, one more thing off my checklist of things that need to get done before the baby gets here. Not too much longer and I will be in the nesting stage. I am starting to get a little bit of it already, feeling the need to organize closets and such. I think once the baby's room is done I will be in full on nesting mode and will be cleaning and organizing like a crazy person. I probably would already be doing all of that stuff if I had a room to clean and organize. I am hoping that after my shower next month I will be able to start putting everything in the room, but it might be close we'll have to see.
Ok, well I think that is all the excitement that is going on for right now. Talk to you all soon.

25 weeks

It is now October so we officially have 3 1/2 months until the baby gets here. It just seems to go quicker and quicker. I fear with the holidays right around the corner it's going to go faster than I would like. I am sure we will get everything done that needs to get done though. Shane is working hard on the house and assures me it will be done in plenty of time. What a great husband I have.
So Shane finally got to feel the baby move, with all of his hard work he is never just sitting and relaxing with me, which is when the baby moves the most. Finally Monday he stopped working early and sat with me to watch a little t.v. so he got to feel it move for the first time. Alexa actually got to feel it too. On Saturday when she was over here I was sitting relaxing and the baby was moving quite a bit so I put her hand on my belly and she actually got to feel it a couple of times. She was so excited that she went running downstairs to tell Shane. I am thrilled that she is so excited.
Well nothing else to report, everything is going well. I feel great and the baby moves around more everyday. I will try to get some more pictures and get them posted since I think I grow on a weekly basis at this point.

24 weeks

Week 24- Ok so I skipped a week in blogging. I am now almost 24 weeks pregnant. Everything is going well, except for I have a bladder infection, but with some antibiotics I will be just fine. I wasn't really that concerned about it to be honest with you. I figured drink lots of water and I would be fine. Well in talking with my cousin apparently untreated bladder infections can lead to pre-term labor(not good) so I called the Dr. and got right in. So I got to have my 24 week appt. a little early and everything is fine.

I did realize when making my next appt though that it will be my 28wk appt. at which time I will only have 12wks left to go. So I now have 16wks to go and feel like this pregnancy has gone way too fast. I need it to slow down just a little. I have alot of stuff to do in the next few months and not enough time to do it. I am sure it will all work out in the end though.

22 weeks

I can't believe I am already 22 weeks pregnant, more than halfway through. My next dr's appt is on Friday the 25th of September. This will just be a basic appt they will check my BP, weight and will listen to baby H's heartbeat.
I am feeling my little one move a lot more these days. Can't wait until Shane is able to feel it too, which right now is more a timing thing, I am sure he would be able to feel it if I was ever able to get him to put his hand on my belly when baby H is moving, but the movements are still sporatic and unpredictable it's hard to do.
I will try to get some more belly pics posted soon. Hope to get some Maternity pics done sometime in Nov.

Sunday, September 6, 2009

Well I am officially 21wks pregnant. I am still feeling really good. The baby is becoming more active, it shouldn't be too long before Shane is able to feel he/she moving around in there.
I went yesterday and got registered for my shower. It was so much fun. If you want to check out my registries I am registered at www.babydepot.com and www.target.com. Hopefully I thought of everything. I am sure I did though I took a list with me so I don't think I missed anything. Alexa, my mom and Shane's mom all went with me. I think Alexa had alot of fun scanning all of the fun baby items. She says she doesn't care if it's a boy or a girl, but she sure was drawn to all of the fun little girl outfits and kept showing me the ones she thought were cute.
Alexa also got to pick out the coming home outfit for the baby. I let her pick out one boy outfit and one girl outfit. I will post some pics of the cute little clothes that she picked.
Well I think we are well on our way to being prepared for Baby Hoadley to get here. Now we just need the house to be done, which I know it will be since Shane is working extra hard these days on it.
I can't believe in 4 short months I will be a mommy. Ok well I will keep you all posted throughout.

20 wks along

I am now 20 weeks pregnant and have decided to keep a blog to help everyone follow me through the rest of my pregnancy.
Let me catch you up on what has happened thus far. The beginning was a little shaky. I had some bleeding shortly after finding out I was pregnant which was a little scary, but everything turned out to be ok and Baby Hoadley is now growing and thriving.
From weeks 6 to 13 I had a little bit of morning sickness and was not able to eat much of anything, but now my appetite is just fine and I am slowly gaining weight again. I am now 2lbs heavier than I was prior to pregnancy.
I can't believe I am already almost halfway through, can't wait to meet this little person that is growing inside of me.
