27-28wks

I am almost 28wks pregnant now. I can't believe we have less than 3 months until we meet our sweet little bundle of joy. 12wks to be exact, it sounds so close when you say it in weeks.

I am still feeling great. I am having some trouble sleeping because I have to change positions so often because my hips get numb and my legs cramp up. I do take plenty of naps though to catch up on my sleep, I don't know what I would do without naps.

I have my 28wk appt on Tuesday the 27th of October. At this appt they will do my glucose test, which tests for gestational diabetes. They have you dring a really sugary drink and then wait for an hour and take blood to make sure both myself and the baby are processing sugar normally. I will keep you all updated after that appt. Until then I have nothing else exciting going on in the world of my pregnancy.

26 Weeks

Ok, I am now 26 weeks pregnant. I finally feel like I am starting to get a little bigger. I think you can actually tell I am pregnant now and not just a little pudgy. Of course I have thought I looked pregnant for a long time now, but obviously I have seen all the little changes as I go that not everyone else notices. I will definitely try to get some more pictures posted soon. I haven't had anyone around to take pics since Shane is busy with the house and I am usually in bed when he gets done working.
I picked a pediatrician yesterday. I went and talked to with two different pediatricians. Dr. Lapke and Dr. Pedrosa. Dr. Pedrosa is the winner. There wasn't much difference between the two dr's themselves just got a better vibe from Dr. Pedrosa. Also her office was alot bigger and nicer and had a well waiting area and a sick waiting area that were completely seperated. I wasn't really that thrilled with the area that Dr. Lapke's office was located either and the parking was horrible. The most important thing though was Dr. Lapke did not have Fri afternoon office hours and Dr. Pedrosa did. When I go back to work that will be very important as I will have no time left to take off for Dr's appts. So anyway, one more thing off my checklist of things that need to get done before the baby gets here. Not too much longer and I will be in the nesting stage. I am starting to get a little bit of it already, feeling the need to organize closets and such. I think once the baby's room is done I will be in full on nesting mode and will be cleaning and organizing like a crazy person. I probably would already be doing all of that stuff if I had a room to clean and organize. I am hoping that after my shower next month I will be able to start putting everything in the room, but it might be close we'll have to see.
Ok, well I think that is all the excitement that is going on for right now. Talk to you all soon.

25 weeks

It is now October so we officially have 3 1/2 months until the baby gets here. It just seems to go quicker and quicker. I fear with the holidays right around the corner it's going to go faster than I would like. I am sure we will get everything done that needs to get done though. Shane is working hard on the house and assures me it will be done in plenty of time. What a great husband I have.
So Shane finally got to feel the baby move, with all of his hard work he is never just sitting and relaxing with me, which is when the baby moves the most. Finally Monday he stopped working early and sat with me to watch a little t.v. so he got to feel it move for the first time. Alexa actually got to feel it too. On Saturday when she was over here I was sitting relaxing and the baby was moving quite a bit so I put her hand on my belly and she actually got to feel it a couple of times. She was so excited that she went running downstairs to tell Shane. I am thrilled that she is so excited.
Well nothing else to report, everything is going well. I feel great and the baby moves around more everyday. I will try to get some more pictures and get them posted since I think I grow on a weekly basis at this point.

24 weeks

Week 24- Ok so I skipped a week in blogging. I am now almost 24 weeks pregnant. Everything is going well, except for I have a bladder infection, but with some antibiotics I will be just fine. I wasn't really that concerned about it to be honest with you. I figured drink lots of water and I would be fine. Well in talking with my cousin apparently untreated bladder infections can lead to pre-term labor(not good) so I called the Dr. and got right in. So I got to have my 24 week appt. a little early and everything is fine.

I did realize when making my next appt though that it will be my 28wk appt. at which time I will only have 12wks left to go. So I now have 16wks to go and feel like this pregnancy has gone way too fast. I need it to slow down just a little. I have alot of stuff to do in the next few months and not enough time to do it. I am sure it will all work out in the end though.

22 weeks

I can't believe I am already 22 weeks pregnant, more than halfway through. My next dr's appt is on Friday the 25th of September. This will just be a basic appt they will check my BP, weight and will listen to baby H's heartbeat.
I am feeling my little one move a lot more these days. Can't wait until Shane is able to feel it too, which right now is more a timing thing, I am sure he would be able to feel it if I was ever able to get him to put his hand on my belly when baby H is moving, but the movements are still sporatic and unpredictable it's hard to do.
I will try to get some more belly pics posted soon. Hope to get some Maternity pics done sometime in Nov.

Sunday, September 6, 2009

Well I am officially 21wks pregnant. I am still feeling really good. The baby is becoming more active, it shouldn't be too long before Shane is able to feel he/she moving around in there.
I went yesterday and got registered for my shower. It was so much fun. If you want to check out my registries I am registered at www.babydepot.com and www.target.com. Hopefully I thought of everything. I am sure I did though I took a list with me so I don't think I missed anything. Alexa, my mom and Shane's mom all went with me. I think Alexa had alot of fun scanning all of the fun baby items. She says she doesn't care if it's a boy or a girl, but she sure was drawn to all of the fun little girl outfits and kept showing me the ones she thought were cute.
Alexa also got to pick out the coming home outfit for the baby. I let her pick out one boy outfit and one girl outfit. I will post some pics of the cute little clothes that she picked.
Well I think we are well on our way to being prepared for Baby Hoadley to get here. Now we just need the house to be done, which I know it will be since Shane is working extra hard these days on it.
I can't believe in 4 short months I will be a mommy. Ok well I will keep you all posted throughout.

20 wks along

I am now 20 weeks pregnant and have decided to keep a blog to help everyone follow me through the rest of my pregnancy.
Let me catch you up on what has happened thus far. The beginning was a little shaky. I had some bleeding shortly after finding out I was pregnant which was a little scary, but everything turned out to be ok and Baby Hoadley is now growing and thriving.
From weeks 6 to 13 I had a little bit of morning sickness and was not able to eat much of anything, but now my appetite is just fine and I am slowly gaining weight again. I am now 2lbs heavier than I was prior to pregnancy.
I can't believe I am already almost halfway through, can't wait to meet this little person that is growing inside of me.
